National Maintenance Agreements Policy Committee (NMAPC) Awards MC Industrial Two Zero Injury Safety Awards
Both MC Industrial’s East Kentucky Power Cooperative and the Holcim (US), Inc. projects received a certificate of merit in the 61,907 and 79,905 work hour categories respectively.
“The hard work, cooperation and dedication to the zero injury philosophy prove once again that it is a team effort between the owner, trades and workers. I could not be more proud of all these folks who continue to make safety a number one priority,” said MC Industrial President, Tom Felton.
The National Maintenance Agreements Policy Committee, Inc. is based on a system of tripartite governance and cooperation, with owners, contractors and building trades craft workers sharing equally in the responsibilities and rewards generated by the program. Owners, contractors and building trades craft workers performing industrial maintenance work who have committed to a zero injury and zero accident workplace are accomplishing the very highest level of safety performance.
The ZISA Gala was held on Thursday, October 28 at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. Sixty-three awards were presented, accounting for more than 10 million injury-free hours worked in calendar year 2009.
